W.E. Care for Kids has committed to raise $100,000 for the purchase of a portable mini c-arm for Windsor Regional Hospital. This piece of equipment helps physicians identify breaks and fractures in little bones, such as the one in children. Currently the closest mini c-arm is located in London, ON. Many children with suspected broken bones are sent to London for diagnosis when x-ray machines are unable to detect the break or fracture. W.E. Care for Kids wants to ensure that our health care teams have access to the tools they need to treat our children at home in Windsor and has committed to raise the funds necessary to purchase this vital piece of equipment.
